The Grant Hero Foundation Launches Its Direct Giving Platform with a Personal Grant from Vinny Lingham, CEO of Civic

The Grant Hero Foundation aims to disrupt the non-profit industry with personal direct grant giving recorded on the Ethereum blockchain.

Dallas, TX, September 28, 2017 —- The Grant Hero Foundation, an emerging startup in the $400B annual non-profit industry is launching its direct personal giving platform utilizing the GIVE Coin and blockchain technology. In response to the recent natural disasters around the world, Civic CEO, Vinny Lingham, a leader in the blockchain and identity security space, is launching a personal grant exclusively on the Grant Hero Foundation platform. The grant will be awarded to either an individual, family, or small business impacted by recent natural disasters across the world. Mr. Langham’s grant will be the platform’s first of many grants to come as the foundation seeks to help donors connect directly to those in-need to offer complete transparency in the giving process.

The Grant Hero Foundation, is a decentralized non-profit organization that fosters direct personal giving. Grant Hero empowers donors to create and award personal grants direct to recipients, offering complete autonomy and transparency in the giving process. Grants can be funded with the GIVE Coin, a cryptonized asset that anchors giving data directly to the blockchain. The Grant Hero giving process is achieved in three easy steps:

– Donors create a personal grant for any cause
– Donors receive applicants from eligible individuals
– Donor awards a recipient and receive a tax-donation receipt

The Grant Hero giving process enables donors to control the cause, gift path, and recipient. Donees receive a minimum of 90% of the intended gift while donors receive a tax-donation receipt in return for their social good. The foundation’s mission is to provide decentralization, autonomy, and transparency to charitable giving. Ultimately, to ensure accountability while providing those in need with the maximum support from a donor’s gift which enables recipients to reach their full potential.

“For the first time, we are placing the giving power back into the hands of the public, and empowering them to dictate their own cause, gift path, and recipient. Grant Hero provides a new channel for giving to help those in-need. We are excited to have Vinny lead-by-example and provide aid to those impacted by the recent events around the world. We hope this inspires leaders in other communities to step forward and help as well,” says Damon Nam, founder and Chief Giving Officer at The Grant Hero Foundation.

Mr. Lingham’s personal grant is also setup as a syndicate grant, a unique feature of the Grant Hero platform. Syndicate grants increase in overall award size from additional contributions made by other donors. All donors receive a tax-donation receipt upon contributing to the designated cause.

Eligible applicants must submit an application before the end of October, 2017. Grant applications will be reviewed and awarded by November 10th, 2017. Those interested in learning about the Grant Hero Foundation and Mr. Lingham’s grant should visit http://granthero.ngo for more information.
